Our story
They say it can take a village to raise a baby, and we need our village to help us have one. We are looking to our friends and family in a plea for support in our search for a gestational carrier.
Monica was born with some rare anatomical differences and a debilitating chronic illness that we’ve since learned make it impossible for her to safely carry a child without serious risk to her life and the life of our baby.
The past several years have been filled with heartbreak after heartbreak. Monica has injected herself with hundreds of needles, been through 4 cycles of IVF and undergone multiple procedures to create embryos for our future family, along the way discovering that someone else would need to help us bring our baby earthside.
Through these efforts, we now have 4 embryos currently frozen and waiting in a top Bay Area lab.
The only way to bring our baby home will be through the kindness of someone willing to give us this ultimate blessing by carrying our baby.
So we are asking: If you feel any sort of openness to the idea of sharing this journey with us, we would be forever grateful to even have the opportunity to discuss the process and answer your questions as we know there are likely to be many!
